USE OF YOUR INFORMATION :
Your information is collected by us for your safety, to understand who we are hosting at our properties and for the safety of our staff. Website users and guest data is also collected for statistical purposes.
We also collect our guests’ date of birth, nationality, gender for statistical as well as analytical purposes.
We automatically log your IP address when you visit our website. The IP addresses help us manage our website and collect broad demographic information for analytical purposes.
We require your email address in order to send confirmation emails for reservations.You will normally be asked to give us consent if you would like to receive newsletters from us via email, since, we operate an opt-in email policy.
Exceptions being in the case of us needing to contact previous guests in relation to post or lost property.
RESERVATION DATA :
We do require some information in order for us to confirm your reservation. This basically consists of :
Telephone or mobile number – in case of an emergency
Date of Birth
Identification data i.e. Passport, Driving License details
Credit card details, including the three-digit code that appears on the back of your credit card
Date of arrival and departure
We will require the same information from your fellow travellers upon arrival, to ensure an efficient and quick check-in please see to it that all of them are aware of the same.
CREDIT CARD DATA :
We require a full 16 digit debit/credit number, the card type (VISA, Mastercard, Maestro), as well as the CVV (3 digit code) and the expiry date. This is in order to guarantee reservations via all channels (website, smartphone application, telephone, but, not restricted to).
We only use your debit/credit card details to secure your booking and HOTs Hostels will only debit the account incase you do not follow our cancellation procedure. We do not charge for reservations that are cancelled at least 24 hours prior to arrival, however, no shows or failing to cancel in excess of 24 hours will incur a charge for the first night.
GUEST PERSONAL DATA :
We will not disclose or sell guests’ personal information to any other person, third party of business unless it is a case of emergency or if it is seen as a part of our duty of care, as we respect guest privacy.
KEEPING OUR DATA UP-TO-DATE :
We have guests returning to our properties on a regular basis since we provide accommodation and leisure. If your personal information needs to be updated please do get in touch with us and let us know the same. Incase we suspect holding false information about you, we may contact you at any given time if you’ve booked accommodation with us.
